There may be times when you can pay less to make do with a medium-grade product. Even if you opt to hire a contractor, it might be a good idea to take one or two classes in home remodeling at some point. Many national home supply stores offer classes or workshops on topics like these at low or no cost. Check with your local supplier to find out when one will be offered near you. Then, the next time you plan a renovation, you won’t be taken advantage of by contractor or supplier.
